Compared to many professions, sports therapy is still in its early days, however it is a rapidly growing market, with sports therapists in greater demand than ever before.
We would like to give our members the chance to gain some "hands on" experience of practicing in a sports field. This allows some of the newly qualified sports therapists a chance to practice their techniques in real situations which will improve their CV's and also put their names in the frame for further job opportunities. One way is contact local teams to volunteer your services, to gain the experience you need.
Another way we plan to raise awareness of sports therapy is to send some of our members as volunteers to local schools and colleges to give talks on what they do. We hope this will not only encourage a new generation of clientelle, but equally as importantly providing students with the information and opportunity to learn what sports therapy is all about as a career possibility.
